RainTest

Is rainy season now, the weather is very unpredictable, it can be sunny in one minute & raining next.. and our Sandakan trip is just around the corner so decide to get my-self a pair of weather proof Riding Boots & a set of Rain Suit..

bought a Italian Riding boots from BM Supply for $200+ and a copied (ARAI) Rain Suit from bike apparel shop at Berakas for 50 bucks..the reason of buying a original boots over a copy is the difference of pricing..a fake brand boots can easily cost close to a original pairs..so no point getting a fake...but getting a copied Rain Suit is all because of can't get a good Rain suit with proper size to fit me..is alway too large & long for me...should have eat more during my teenage time so can grow taller...

it has been raining whole day today, so it's good time to try out the boots & rain suit..so put the gear on and start riding in the rain and this is the result...

the boots performed well, keeping both of my feet dry & cool but the rain suit is a dissapointment, genarally it works well accept for the badly done cross seam around the balls area, water keep sipping through & give me a wet & freezing balls...this proof that a fake can never perform as well as a original...so the boss who sold this to me better exchage another one..

How to make any pair of Gloves work with I Phone

There are commercial gloves designed to work with touchscreens, but you can achieve the same functionality with your current pair of gloves using a needle and some conductive thread.

The iPhone screen is capacative, meaning that it requires your finger to complete a circuit in order to work. So, by sewing some conductive thread in small patches on the fingers of your gloves (a circle of about 1/4" or 6mm in diameter is recommended) and larger patches on the inside area of the fingertip, you should be able to use your touchscreen with an acceptable degree of accuracy.

Still, I have to imagine that this modification would be useless on anything other than tight-fitting gloves. The thick gloves that actually keep your hands warm would be far too bulky.

A Long Distance Service

These 2 HD bikes rode couple hundred KMs form Labuan all the way to Brunei for its routine regular service, really have to salute to the owners for their love for Motorcycle...

YAMAHA VIRAGO - The Unsung Hero

Saw these two YAMAHA Virago 535 at BM Supply few days back..quite pleased to see there are still some been nicely kept..these days most of it are pretty out of shape..matter of fact not much of people know that this bike used to out-sold Harley Davidson back in the 80-90's when it first launched in the US, forced HD to re-think about their marketing plan & improved their bikes just to compete with this little wonder...

these 2 particular bikes has been nicely done with metal & paint works to create a "Bobber" looks..but not too sure about the HD Sportster looks, to me the VIRAGO are lagendary enough and deserve to carry it's own name & Looks than turning it into a mixbred of YAMA-HARLEY....

DIY Luggage Rack

With years of Goldsmith expertise, Mr. I Luv U created this rack. instead of buying a original rack from YAMAHA dealer which may cost him couple hundred bucks..he came out with this ingenious method by modified a bicycle carrier rack from a bicycle shop and with some minor metal works..waa laa.. a luggage rack which can load for a week of supply and it fits his bike beautifully..and the best part is, it only cost him less than 50 bucks..save some for his coming trip to Sabah...

Yes..I'm going to make one for mine as well..
YAMAHA & Harley Davidson Dealer are going to get pissed with him..no business...

Ride Slower, See More, Travel Further...

Many months ago we only ride around town in high high speed and kept complaining there is no place to ride in Brunei. But recently when mates & i slow down our riding pace and increase our traveling distance than i realise that we been missed out quite some good things in life..

During our bike trip to Tasek Merimbun today, we saw how the rural area has developed..how bad is the flood in the village due to the overnight rain...we noticed things that we don't usually pay attention to...we enjoyed the journey more & we can admire the environment even more. so i deeply believe that there are quite some nice places to go in Brunei...it's just the matter of.. plan the ride, slow down & look around, rather than fly pass in high speed and miss-out what our country can offer to us...or maybe having a KENALI NEGARA KITA dengan motosikal ( Knowing Our Country With Motorcycle) Ride will be nice...

Morning Ride to Tasek Merimbun

been talked about this ride for sometimes but never have the time to do it, finally decide just go for it this Sunday..suppose to start depart at 6 am but unfortunately the weather is not on our side, the sky still looked gloomy with rain...so everyone jump back into their bed..continue sleeping for another 2 hours....after the nap we will proceed regardless the weather condition, rain or snow also ride...and the weather turned out very good for long ride, cool and cloudy..a perfect day to ride...put on my gears start the bike and on the road again..

Meet up with the rest of the guys at Gadong for breakfast, everyone was there but one..the most unlikely person to be absent...our Hard Core Biker JS...decide not to join us...so no reason to waste time for waiting anymore..is Riding Time..

before going further, a fuel stop at the Lamunin Shell Station and the usual "SMOKING SESSION" at FUEL STATION again....our riding tradition..
after some GOOD country side rides we finally arrive Tasek Merimbun...the place is so peaceful & calm, a totally different world compare to what we having minutes ago..dusts, vibration, loud noise, bugs & some water from the roadside as well....

Motorcycle Defensive Riding

Today while i'm organizing a Defensive Driving activities for the SUZUKI SWIFT D DRIVE event, some biking mates of mine came over, but instead of taking part in the Car Defensive Driving activities they are having their own Motorcycle Riding activities at the parking lot, they begin discussing proper riding position & do slalom ride (something similar with what we have in the track)....

so call Motorcycle Defensive Riding...with cars moving around & no Crash Helmet..plus ignoring the presented Traffic Polices too...

Deadly Bike Crash

Friend of mine send these Car & Bike Accident pictures to me today..

bike traveled at 85 mph, car came out of junction with the driver talking on handphone, apparently the car driver didn't noticed the bike, bike rider can't avoid on time & crashed into it...

after the mishap the rider was found inside the car with the 2 female passengers, all of them perished in the instant...

after seeing these pictures, i relished these happened in our daily lives all the time, talking on cellphone while driving (driver) & speeding in busy streets (Riders)....i guess is about time everyone pay more attention in their driving/riding behavior..as some say life never take two....

A Darker Side..

Out of the blue I decided to give my IRON a darker look by reducing some of the chrome parts specially the upper part of the fork...initially i plan to give it a coat of matt black paint, but a layer of paint will build-up the diameter of the fork and might facing some problem if maintenance is require to dismantle the fork from the triple tree. So friend of my introduce me these alternative solution.. a removable matt Carbon Fiber Finishing product..

now the front end have a more black-out and sinister looks...

STIG In Action Again

while chilled out at Biker SE's place, STIG suddenly appeared and took my bike for a spin around the block...
