HOG Brunei Chapter Sunday Ride April 2010

HOG Brunei Chapter Sunday Ride to Kuala Belait, ride begin at 8 in the morning, it started with around 20 bikes & will increase it size along the way....surprisingly the road was kind of busy..quite some numbers of bikers are having their own Sunday ride too and even some military armored vehicles are racing on the High-way, apparently having a battle field training...

Brief stop at Tutong Town to meet-up with some riders such as Awg Azri, who rode from KB to join us for the remaining ride, was surprised to see him take his wife & kit out for a ride...that's so Cool, leading his herd herd cruising down the open road....keep it up dude...

Mid-way stop for breakfast at Keramut, some where after the Telisai bridge, most of us are low on fuel & dry by now ( our-self & bikes ), with the large number of bikes, the indian coffee shop turned into a "Ace Cafe"...

Finally touch down at Kuala Belait...and get our-self ready for a river-side activity...

a visit to a local festival organized by the district authorities at the new KB recreation park right next to the the KB river...

a fun filled festival will local food stuff, ATV rental, games & a chatty but down to earth looking Emcee running around asking people to answer his quest...

Yayasan School Charity Ride

HOG Brunei Chapter is providing motorcycle ride for the Yayasan School Charity Event...everyone are able to experience a Harley Davidson ride for a mere 3 dollars with a good cause...& all the profit will goes to the Yayasan School fund...

Found this website (www.affric2africa.com) regarding 2 guys & 2 bikes touring from UK to Africa..sound familiar right..? yes, it's some thing like what Mc Gregor & Boormen did in the " Long Way Down", but this time is 2 old cocks riding to Africa without back-up and for charity purpose.

it contained a 2010 Touring Handbook, a HOG Benefit Guide, a badge, a metal pin and my HOG members card...not too sure i'll use the badge & pin, just not my style to put all this stuff on me, and for the Touring Handbook & Benefit Guide...obviously useless in this side of the world...expect something more useful...

Sunday Twilight Ride

got up late today & missed out the morning ride called by my mate...telling myself is alright to miss the ride since i'm riding almost everyday...but just can't get the urge of riding off my mind...so decide to do another sunset ride all by myself.

half way through, bumped into Jay & Mellow Yellow on the road, both guys joined me rode into the sunset...still the same cool air, the same beautiful sunset sky and also the same bugs filled face at the end of the ride....

Found some unbelievable ways of commuting with motorcycle in some poorer Asean country such as China, Thailand, Philippine, Burma, Laos & Vietnam. it showed that we Asian are very innovative and efficient in survival skill, capable to improvised with whatever we have.

but on the other hand, it also proved that many Asian country are still in the stated of poverty, all motorised vehicles are luxury to them, let alone riding bike for leisure as the western country did...and for us on this side of ASEAN, we are blessed we don't have endured this....

Cool color KTM Duke 990

Saw this KTM DUKE 990 out from the crate at the dealer, it dressed in a very unique color - sort-of of brownish green..little bit like the color of SHIT ( those watery type) mix with a solid white frame, pretty cool though...the dealer said they brought it in just because of this unique color...its going to be a rare breed...

Solo Twilight Ride

Always saw this phrase " ride into the sunset" in bike magazines or movies...try it out today alone, it is definitely a cooler ride with beautiful sight of sky & way way less traffics, and start imagine riding on some exotic country road, a good ride worth doing it with friends again...

BUT..... next time i'll never do it with a open face helmet, too much Roadkills attracted by the head light, hand full of BUGS stuck on on the face and by the i reached home it all get harden.....and it sting & hard to remove too......specially all the guts...

New Wheel In The Block

After months of considering what bike to buy and waiting upon waiting of the right color bike to arrive, finally my neighbor 's daughter is getting her 1st scoot home at last and she managed to rode it 20km back to home at night with a smile so huge that i can spot it from 30m away....she feel so good about it...but after all the excitement, she have a even bigger task to conquer, cos she still need to convince her mum about buying the scoot...(she bought it without inform the mum...good luck to her...)

Stolen Exhaust !!!

Received a email from a KB friend, saying the Slip-on exhaust of his Kawasaki Z1000 was stolen between 28^th March and 4^th April from Pandan 8 area, Kuala Belait, while he is a way for few days...

It is a " LASER " brand Carbon Fiber exhaust, It will fit both Kawasaki Z1000 and Z750. But only the right side was stolen. A police case has been made.

Caution if anyone selling u a used Laser brand exhaust, it might be a stolen item..cos the Kawai dealer Kim Hock only imported limited sets only. So if you do come across any suspicious item similer with this, Please inform dwvt@hotmail.com or the police.

Evolution of Mr. Mellow Yellow

After all these incidents, crash & endless problems from his aged Suzuki GS400, Mr. Mellow Yellow has figured out is time to it go and get him self something more bigger and headache-free....a 07 Yamaha YZF-R6, which none of us expected...(in terms of his body height & riding skill) but maybe some people will evolve further with the hard way...
