More Americans in Town

couple months back i posted an American "Victory" is coming to town, to challenge the American Legend for the Cruiser market....and now new info mentioned that there are more Americans joining the party....this time the American's first motorcycle " INDIAN" and the 3 wheeler "Cam-Am Spyder" will come and crash the party too....just can't wait to see all these Americans going head-on with each other.....

so for those who plan to get a bike, you have more choice now.....

Phuket Moped Run

it has been quite some times we been planing to ride in Phuket and finally the time has come, just crabbed the tickets and fly there and we are here for the Bike Week and the Water Festival....

it's fairly easy to rent any type of motorcycle in Phuket, but we decided to ride like the locals, meaning ride with small displacement Moped....cos around here Big bikes are useless and less fun to ride....

yes.... my bike come with the DOEREMON floor board...obviously i didn't check it and shouldn't took the bike during the night...

road surface in Phuket are generally good although most of the street are build along the mountain with sharp angles of up & down-hill ride, lots of technical bends/curves and some are pretty narrow too....perfect for small, light motorcycles....

as mentioned earlier, the island is definitely heaven of small bikes....
and it really come in all-sort of shape & forms...

no problem to refuel the bike, aside from the normal petrol station, this type of road side Petrol Kiosk are everywhere too...$4.60 to fill-up my 110cc moped...

watch-out for the police and road-blocked....specially if you look-like a tourist, you might be an easy prey...

the only choice of riding apparel to ride in Phuket....NONE

people can ride in near naked but was highly recommended to put on a helmet...

numbers of bike shop through out the island, but mostly catered for small bikes....good place to shop for small bikes accessories & parts....

for those who can't ride but yet insist to experience a bike ride, can hire one of this motorcycle Taxi...pretty cheap..

Small Bike Rules here...heavy, big displacement bike don't performed well in Phuket....

Phuket's Southern Big Bike Chopper Shop

while on the way back to Patong, make a quick visit to one of the Phuket Custom builder SOUTHERN BIG BIKE CHOPPER SHOP at Soi Sirirat...
the place had a Jamaican theme with a life-size Bob Marley sculpture sitting outside the shop, even the Boss dressed like a Jamaican.....

the Diner Side...

food wasn't great, can't complaint so much about this sort of diner...but the services are definitely need to improve, cos it give me the feeling of race discrimination dose happened here......waitress served the Farang / Whites better than Asian...
