taking part in the HOG National Day Ride last night, the ride suppose to flag-off around 8:15pm but but as usual there is always some waiting involve so the ride will only start about 9 plus. a reasonably good number of HOG member turn up for the ride, about 50 beasts roaring in the dark...

CNY Ride 2010

Supposed to get up early for this ride, but end-up got up late again...damn, so some calls and decide to meet up the clan at the Yamaha dealer place to have a quick lunch...

plan to have a slightly longer ride for our CNY ride today, so after the lunch we visited JW's parents place follow up with a long ride to a long forgotten destination and finish with a CNY visit to Dougy's place...

Our destination..a long forgotten place "The Ferry Boarding Ramp" at the end of kg Danau where people used to traveled to n fro from BSB to KB in the 50's...

the best thing after a long ride...a cold fizzy drink..plus a scenic view

a witness of time & history of Brunei, too bad no one maintain this historical landmark...

and it's also a good fishing spot, used to fished here when i was still a young boy...

Can't Wait No More..

While sending my bike for the Spring cleaning, bump into a friend of mine, who happen to be the proud owner of the " Johnny Pag looking BARHOG Bike" looking anxiously at the dealer, hoping his bike to be ready, although he knew is Chinese New Year Eve, most people will close-up early, but he still hope to get a answer..pity him, have to wait for another weeksmore...well.. hope to ride with him soon..

Spring Cleaning

Chinese New Year is just around the corner, for we Chinese we like to give our wheels a good clean up for the festive, so to be fair with all my wheels, i decide to give my bike a shower as well, but i'm not the kind of people who have the patient to scrub the wheels for hours...so dash out to find a bike washing services at the very last minute....minutes before the shop close for the day...the last bike in & also the verrrrry last bike out, the shop owner just leave my wheel out at the alley & closed up, head home for the reunion dinner...

Road Side Dead Traps part 1

As i mentioned before i'm going to conduct a reserch of our road condition for bikers safety. After going around town i have spotted some obvious Bikers dead traps on the road.

firstly the metal cover for monsoon drain, this can be seen all over our major road, it's also a common hazard that easily over look by motorcyclist. metal cover that cos bike to slide-off & fall, and it does happened to quite some bikers, although it might not kill but still post a danger to any bikes...

a good intention of our public road dept to put up all this nice palm trees, guard rail & concrete curb to protect our car in case of accident..but these also posted as a dead trap to bikers if an accident does happen..imagine a biker lost control of the bike and land himself on a tree, hit on the metal guard rail & crash his head on the concrete curb..as u can see the skid mark showing a car heading to all the items mentioned, a car will be protected the rail, trees & curb but a biker will definitely kill by those obstacles...

a common sight around the open road, endless of patches & uneven road surface, this is alright to a 4 wheels vehicles but a dead trap for bikes, it will cos a bike to lost control specially when traveling at high speed...

another deadly trap, a sudden drop of road surface on the high-way. as u can see the dark stains created by car's tire when hit & applied large pressure on the road... for a bike, it can trow a bike off balance specially at high speed, this is even more dangerous during night ride when a biker not aware of...

this happened quite often on d road, once a bike can't stop on time when approaching a round-about will over-shoot and end up at the road sign....this can KILL

Lately while riding on the road, kept wondering are the roads safe for motorcyclist, i can see some death trap beside the road waiting to get me...and i have decide to do some survey & research in this issue when i have time...so look out for the up-date report of this road side death trap...

BBC goning Live in Brunei..?

This afternoon dropped by at a local charity bazaar, was surprised when friend told me that BBC is participating in in the event, but turn-out is a local biker club called BERSATU BIKER CLUB having a charity ride for the visitors at the Bazaar...

Lately seems like there are quite some numbers of biker clubs forming, this mean motorcycle has become a popular hobby for the local....

DUCATI MONSTER

As i mentioned yesterday i will get some photos of these Ducati bikes today, so i dash to the dealer store to take some shots when i'm free, but my bro beat me first, he was there before me...with his butt on the brand new DUCATI Monster 1100...

as i posted yesterday saying that 8-10 units of DUCATI are inported, but actually only 2 units are in town, the MONSTER 696 & 1100, and both bike already been booked by customers..but the bike are yet to send for technical inspection and will only be legal to burn rubber on Brunei's Tarmac next 2 to 3 weeks time...so to my friend who own the 1100, be patient dude...take the time to get yourself a nice helmet to match the bike...
The selling price of the Monster 696 is around $18k & the 1100 is about $24k and 4 to 6 months to get the bike..better book early...by the way my bro doesn't look good on these bike with a huge belly the size of Temburong...

DUCATI is in town !

According to information, the DUCATI bike is finally in town, the dealer brought in about 8-10 units of DUCATI bikes, but i my self haven't seen it yet not sure what model are there...will up date with some photos when i'm free to pay a visit at the dealer...

Bangkok Motorbike Festival 2010

Supposed to visit the Bangkok Motorbike Festival 2010 with Retroman last week but due to works relate issue we can't make it...but turn out my parents were there and dad took some photos to tease me...

according to my Old Man, it's a huge event, hundreds of bikes from different makes spread out all over the place, Sport bikes, Vintage Bikes, Custom Bikes you just name it & they got it all and on top of that thousands of Thai bikers turn-out with their rides at the out door venue....oh shit i'm not going miss it next time...
